On May 10, 2024, the Biden-Harris-Kaine campaign opened its first field office in Virginia. Over 160 enthusiastic Democrats attended the opening in Annandale, which featured addresses from Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA), Congressman Don Beyer (D-VA), Susan Swecker (Chair, VA Democratic Party), Charniele Herring (VA House of Delegates), and others.
